Active in the community, Grindstaff currently serves on the boards of: Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital, The Nashville Wine Auction, TN Society of Respiratory Care.
Mrs. Grindstaff received a nursing degree from the University of Michigan and Business/General Studies from James MadisonUniversity. She has served as chairperson, moderator and keynote speaker for many conferences. Published in several health and marketing publications, she was also the author of “Feelin’ Good, Its Up to You”, a wellness manual. Active in community activities, Mrs. Grindstaff serves on the American Cancer Society Board of Directors as Past-Chair, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital Board of Directors and Development Chair., The Nashville Symphony Board, Heart Gala Advisory Board, and is past-president of the American Cancer Society and the Nashville Symphony Guild. Previously she has served on The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce Board as Vice-Chair of Small Business, Chair and Master of Ceremonies for Music City Future 50, and was the founding chair of the West Area Business Council. She has been involved in numerous charitable fundraisers, including chairing the Heart Gala which netted over $750,000, Friends of Cheekwood, Friends of Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Belmont Mansion Association, Heart Gala and First Presbyterian Church.
Gravitating towards “start ups”, Grindstaff was a founding partner in DSI with a goal of replicating multidisciplinary breast cancer facilities nationwide. She has developed occupational health programs for industry, wellness programs in academic and industrial settings, intermediate care facilities and programs for not-for-profits, centers of excellence and spas in health care facilities, brochures and marketing, as well as orchestrating national and international conferences and events during her career. Currently, Grindstaff, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, serves on the Advocacy Committee, promoting oncoplastic surgical training and excellence in total patient care. Well-connected in the breast cancer/plastic surgery world, she is employed by manufacturers to assist with development, introduction of new products, and marketing. Grindstaff has demonstrated her ability to enlighten her peers about new products and services. Her newest company, HealthWorks, offers wellness/education-based rehabilitation for oncology patients including physical therapy, lymphedema treatment, massage therapy in physician offices and centers of excellence.
E. Douglas Grindstaff Sr. (Doug) is currently Chairman-G&M Group-Consulting-Nashville, TN, CEO- Breathe Easy Respiratory Solutions, Inc.-Nashville,TN, Chairman/CEO-Scott Services-Corporate office, Brinngham,AL, and involved in other small businesses offering mentoring and financial advising/investing.
After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Grindstaff joined Procter & Gamble Inc. in Manufacturing Management. Moving through increasing levels of responsibility in the Soap Products, Chemicals, Food and Coffee Divisions, Mr. Grindstaff became President of Procter & Gamble Inc., Canada in 1987. After increasing sales from $750 million to 1.5 billion in four years and being selected as Marketer of The Year in Canada, he moved to Procter & Gambles' Cellulose Division, and became President of Buckeye Cellulose Inc., a $1 billion division of P & G. He recommended and executed the sale of the division.
Mr. Grindstaff left Procter and Gamble to become CEO of Genesco Inc., a NYSE company, and was selected Marketer of the Year by the Academy of Market Science for his work there. After leaving Genesco, Mr. Grindstaff became an independent investor and served on corporate boards and is now an officer/board member of several private companies.
Rose Miller Grindstaff is the President of G&M Group-Consulting and Founder/COO of Breathe Easy Respiratory Soulitions, Inc., With both corporate offices in Nashville, TN. Formerly, Grindstaff was President-HealthWorks LLP and Development Advisor-Diversified Specality Institutes, and MG's Medical Spa Services. Grindstaff was the founding director of the internationally acclaimed institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Services at Baptist Hospital, Nashville, TN.
A nurse and business entrepreneur, with over twenty-five years of experience in facility/center of excellence/product line development, management, marketing, public relations, public speaking and event planning. Grindstaff has been instrumental in many healthcare start-ups. Known as a "rainmaker", she has a reputation of "making things happen".
